It is indeed harder to drive when it is windy out, especially compared to a car. A headwind is no problem for keeping speed on the highway, but when it becomes a crosswind I definitely perk up.
Specific to our van, there’s a functional “crosswind assist” that utilizes the all-wheel drive to adjust individual tire acceleration for big gusts blowing across the road. It does a good job but can be jarring the first time when it kicks in. This feature has kept us squarely in our lane even during strong storms.
Having a crosswind assist, and subsequently an AWD vehicle, is probably the biggest differentiator amongst all vans and RVs alike that experience the windsail effect from having a large, flat side.
In general, wind is very low on my list of worries when it comes to using this van.

I’ve read that the crosswind assist is effective, but never heard personal experience outside of YouTube. Thanks for the reply.
